It's my half birthday!! Where's the cake?? Okay... so maybe I can't have cake just yet but I get to start eating some real foods now! Don't get me wrong- I love my milk but I've been waiting for the day when I can grab food and not have to worry about someone taking it from me before I get to eat it. I think I'm going to really like the food mommy was eating that I cried for... mommy just told me it was a banana- what a funny word! And then there was another one that was all red... mommy said that was watermelon- that's too long! Oh and this other food was in slices... apple? Yeah, I'm gonna like that one too! Mommy will tell you about my adventures with food in another post but I'm gonna tell you about me right now...
I kinda skipped over my 5 month update because there wasn't too much going on but I'll tell you about it here:
- the day after mommy's first Mother's Day, I figured out how to roll onto my tummy from my back! I even got my arm out from under my body- I hear that's hard stuff! I started rolling over consistently at 19 weeks & 3 days old. At first I would only roll to my left but now it's both sides! And then I get mad because I'm on my tummy and can't figure out how to get on my back again...
- I pull myself up to a sitting position when I hold onto your thumbs
* I like to stand from a sitting position when I hold your thumbs
* my speech has evolved but to mom and dad, it just sounds like I'm saying "ny ny ny ny". They think it's cute but I need them to understand me!
* I like to push up when I'm on my tummy
* I can sit on my own for short periods of time
* I help pull my clothes over my head when they get a little stuck
* I finally figured out how to flip onto my back from my tummy
* I look for mommy when she hides beside my pack n play- I think it's called peek-a-boo but I know to look for her in the last place I saw her!
Thanks for following me to my half birthday! I hope you will keep coming back to read about me. And if I don't see you, I will be looking for you! Remember, I'm good at that!
